We would like to gently remind everybody to be on time for your pickups for all trips. We recommend you are 10 minutes early at the bus stop. We cannot wait for anybody who is late, our coach runs to a tight schedule during the pickups. When it’s raining or cold it simply isn’t fair to leave other people waiting too. We cannot offer a refund if you miss the bus. If you have problems getting to us, please call the out of hours number as you may be able to catch us up. 07759 494146. Tue 5th      

                     Lichfield Market day & National Memorial Arboretum £15 E 8 pm   

This morning we make our way down to the lovely town of Lichfield where we find their market in full swing.  We have time to enjoy this vibrant town, perhaps have a spot of lunch at one of the many eateries here before making a trip down to the National Memorial Arboretum.  With its 30,000+ trees, we can enjoy a stroll around the woodlands.

Thu 7th  

                         Liverpool & the Beatles Tour        £12 M 6 pm

This morning we will stop at the Gordale Garden Centre for a short break of around an hour before we head over the Runcorn Bridge and into Wavertree to see the house where Paul McCartney grew up.  Our guided tour will then take you into Liverpool and to Strawberry Fields to see the famous gates and down Penny Lane where the coach will stop briefly for photographs.  We finish our tour in the town center, dropping off near to the famous Cavern Club and around 3 hours of free time.   There are no admissions included.

Tatton Park Christmas Fayre and High Legh Garden Centre (free admission)  £14 M 7 pm

Step into a magical Christmas at Tatton Park where we find the flourishing indoor Christmas Fayre. The house is closed today, but the market stalls all hold locally made produce, handmade gifts, and items for sale. Wander around the stalls enjoying a glass of mulled wine or cider, then meander in the courtyard and perhaps a spot of lunch at the café. This afternoon we head to the High Legh Garden Centre – which will be beautifully decorated for Christmas. This is the perfect opportunity to do a spot of Christmas shopping.

Join us as we embark on a scenic tour of the Ribble Valley in full Autumn color.  We follow the River Ribble as it meanders its way through the valley before arriving at the Calf’s Head Country House for lunch.  It’s not over yet though as we also get to enjoy a leisurely afternoon in the lovely town of Clitheroe.

This morning we take a comfort break before heading on a beautiful journey through Glossop and over the
Woodhead Pass, dropping down into the Holme Valley.  The hills and surrounding valleys were made famous by Compo and his friends in the TV drama ‘Last of the Summer Wine’.  We arrive in Holmfirth just before lunchtime – here you will have around three hours free time to explore – perhaps have a cuppa in Syds Café!

Cardiff

Included: Dinner bed & breakfast at the 4* Jurys Inn, Cardiff.  This hotel is right in the heart of the City Centre within easy walking distance of the shops, Cardiff Castle & St Davids shopping center.  Coach travel included.

Day 1: This morning we enjoy a scenic drive right through the heart of Wales with comfort breaks as required, arriving in Cardiff around 2 to 3 pm. On arrival, we check into the hotel and the rest of the day is yours as you wish, with dinner in the hotel each night included in the price.

Day 2: Today is a free day at leisure to enjoy everything that Cardiff has to offer. Why not wander down to the town center where you will find the Christmas Markets in full swing – with traditional wooden chalets offering locally made products like ceramics, jewelry, and food. You could take a look around the Cardiff Castle, or jump onto one of the City Sightseeing tour buses which also stops at Cardiff Bay.

Day 3: This morning we enjoy a leisurely breakfast and load our cases onto the coach. Then the day is as you wish, with all of our free time today being spend in Cardiff itself.

Bolsover Castle & Birmingham

Day 1: Sizzling bratwursts, tankards of German beer and the fruity flavors of hot Glühwein – it can only mean one thing.   Birmingham German Christmas market is back! This is the largest German market outside of Germany and really has the WOW, factor! You will find everything from waffle stands, creps, mulled wine stalls, handcrafted gifts and so much more. If you are Christmas shopping today then you really don’t need to look any further – with designer outlets, high street stores, and the famous Bullring shopping center, you really will get everything you need here today. Late afternoon we head to our hotel where we have a hot carvery style dinner.

Day 2: This morning after our breakfast we head over to the fairy-tale mansion, Bolsover Castle which was designed to entertain and impress and that reputation has continued on through the years. Commanding a wonderful high position above the town of Bolsover, you will enjoy views of the country all around. Look into every nook and cranny of the ruined areas of the castle, and wander in awe at the intact section of the building called ‘the Little Castle’. A lovely gift shop and café are on site. This afternoon we head over to the historic town of Chesterfield, which of course is famous for its unusual Crooked Spire church. Day 1: This morning we head up to Leeds where we head directly into the city center for the HUGE Christkindelmarkt German Market is in full swing in Millennium square which has been transformed into a festive wonderland. The market boasts over 40 traditionally decorated wooden chalet stalls with handcrafted toys jewelry, festive decorations, and authentic German delicacies.  Perhaps enjoy a glass of Glühwein (mulled wine) whilst you soak in the festive atmosphere.       

Day 2. The heart of Yorkshire is our destination for today as we head to the picturesque town of Harrogate, which is beautiful at any time of year but at Christmas time it is truly special.  Wander the beautifully decorated streets, perhaps visit Betty’s tearooms or wander the Valley Gardens which is a serene Grade II listed Gardens with woodland and historic buildings.

Festive Lake District

Day 1: This morning we head up to the Barton Grange Garden Centre. This is our favorite garden center at Christmas – their displays are absolutely stunning and the scones here are also our favorites… after we leave here we stop at Holker Hall, the home of Lucy Cavendish and her husband. This estate is set in the absolutely exquisite countryside overlooking Grange Over Sands. Today we find the Hall decorated for Christmas.

Day 2: We enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning before the coach picks you up and heads out into the Lake District. Sit back and enjoy stunning views of lakes and mountains as we drive towards Windermere. Here you have a choice of either spending your time in Windermere village center or Bowness on Windermere. They are around 1.5 miles apart. Windermere village is a really lovely, friendly place with lots of little shops and guest houses being family owned. Bowness on Windermere is right on the Lakeside so if we have a nice day this is the perfect place for a stroll or spot of shopping. When we depart here we head for Ambleside where you will
  get time for lunch and a look around.                                                  

Day 3: After our breakfast this morning we head to Keswick for the day where their Victorian Christmas Market is in full swing. Keswick is a traditional market town today will be beautifully decorated for Christmas and packed full of market stalls. Today’s trip will see us spend the morning in Keswick, with arrival back at our hotel mid-afternoon, with enough time to have a look around Kendal before our evening meal.

      Day 4:  Today we depart the lakes but the fun isn’t quite done yet!  We load our cases and head South, stopping in Lancaster for a few hours over lunchtime.  This historic City has so much to see and do.  If you are still Christmas shopping this is the place to be!
